Learn & Celebrate in Solidarity with Venezuela's Revolution!
Day in Solidarity with Venezuela 12/2/07

A day of activities has been organized for Sunday, December 2, 2007, in solidarity with Venezuela. The events will be held at the Niebyl-Proctor Library in Oakland. Come learn about the Venezuela's democratic Bolivarian Revolution from 2 to 6pm. Then join the party in celebration of Venezuelan democracy and in solidarity with their achievements towards economic and social justice.

This event is part of national "Days in Solidarity with Venezeula," December 2nd & 3rd, jointly called by the Venezuelan Solidarity Network, Hands of Venzuela, and the Latin America Solidarity Coalition.
A Day in Solidarity with Venezuela: Learning & Celebration

When: Sunday, December 2, 2007, 2pm to 9pm

Where: Niebyl-Proctor Library, 6501 Telegraph Ave., Oakland, CA (near
Alcatraz), wheel-chair accessible

What: On December 2, Venezuelans will vote on reforms to their constitution. Join us in a day OF activities in solidarity with Venezuela's democracy and sovereignty. This event will be part of national Days in Solidarity with Venezuela in response to a joint call to action by the Venezuela Solidarity Network [], Hands Off Venezuela [ ], and the Latin America Solidarity Coalition [].

2pm to 6pm: Learn about Venezuela's Bolivarian Revolution:

2pm: "No Volverán: The Revolution Now" a new documentary;

4pm: Slide presentation of recent tour of Venezuela by Laura Wells and Larry Shoup;

5pm: "Venezuela: Revolution from the Inside Out", filmmaker Clif Ross will present a 30 minute sneak peak of his documentary.

6pm to 9pm: Party to Celebrate Venezuelan Democracy!

Music, food, refreshments, and multi-media show

Admission: Sliding scale ($5-$20) no one turned away for lack of funds. Benefit for the Emergency Response Network to mobilize resistance to U.S. intervention in Venezuelan politics.
